Thank you for visiting Eat Naturally with Emily!
As an introduction to my website, I want to share my definition (or interpretation) of “natural” : When I speak about eating naturally, it is simply my synonym to eating healthy. You might be wondering what types of foods would fall into that category. Natural foods would include such foods as: fresh produce, whole grains and some fish/meat. The more you can stick to food that is NOT highly processed the more your body will be thanking you.
I have decided create this blog as a result of the encouragement from friends and family. Recently I have come to realize how it is “normal” for young adults, including myself, to eat processed and fast food; but it doesn’t have to be that way. In this blog I will be posting recipes and photos that will be documenting the detail of my path to leading a healthier lifestyle and my quest to becoming a better cook. I believe in my heart that good nutrition is the key to a healthier and happier life.
** For informational purposes the formal definition of “natural” is : to imply foods that are minimally processed and do not contain manufactured ingredients. For comparison, the formal definition of “organic” is: foods that are produced using methods that do not involve modern synthetic inputs such as synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers… Eventually I will try to incorporate some organic foods!!
Enjoy my blog. I will close by sharing one of my favorite quotes: “Tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are” La Rochefoucauld.
